Ceramics Handbuilding with Rachel Saunders

In this 2-part workshop, participants will learn the basics of ceramic handbuilding under Rachel Saunder's loving gaze as they get to explore the endless possibilities and joys of working with clay. Participants will have the option of making the bowl and spoon set, mug, or have the option of creating whatever they wish, receiving guidance and knowledge along the way (max 3-4 things per person). Rachel will bring different examples of handbuilt things for inspiration. In this comfortable and engaging atmosphere, we will have some cool beverages and a carefully curated playlist to groove on while building our ceramics.  Each session will be around 2 hours, so we will have time to settle in, introduce ourselves and create something. The second session will be 1-2 weeks after the first, and that's when we will get to paint the finish products. Rachel will take them all to be fired for a second time, ( to be picked up from Moonrise Studio or Rachel can deliver :))

When: First Part : July 29 from 6-8 pm  (create objects)

Second Part: August 5 from 6-8 pm  (glaze/ paint)

Where: Moonrise Studio 1284 Gladstone Ave Unit B2 (Back parking lot beside "Neat and Tidy")

Cost: 95
